Turkey as a world leader in dried fruit export

Turkey provides 67 % of the world Hazelnut production, 26 % of Cherries, 27% of Figs and 23% oF Apricots which means that Turkey is one of the most important source for those products. Turkey’s Hazelnuts annual production is between 500 and 750 thousand tons. Between September 2018 and May 2019 The export of Hazelnuts has provided a total revenue of 1,4 Billion USD.

Last year 360 thousand tons of Figs were exported, the total revenue made from it was around 286 Billion USD.

When it comes to Cherries, Turkey has exported 672 thousand tons and a total of 162 billion USD was made as a revenue. As for the Apricots the exported amount was between 750 thousand and 985 thousand tons and a total of 294 Billion USD was earned.
